xxjoeyxxeb
Hey guys, My car is running crappy and I think it may be the injectors. Its an 83 l28et into a 260z. I was thinking about saving some money and trying to clean the injectors myself, and possibly flow test them too. Here's some articles I've found about it, and I was wondering if anyones done it or can offer any hints. I was thinking of soaking the injectors in gas or sea foam, then running them through either some similar setup to these, or pulsing air through the injector at the same time I pulse it with power to open it up and hopefully shoot out whatevers in there. http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/506872 http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f4/f21/167246-diy-fuel-injector-tester.html Thanks! Flexicoker
I just got an old charger for a cellphone or something, and soldered a bosch connector to it. Plugged it into the wall, and sprayed B-12 Chemtool through them backwards. I tried using some other solvents, and not a drop would come through, but as soon as I used B-12 the gunk in there just melted away. I used 12v before I realized that I had low-Z injectors (they got pretty warm) but still work fine. 4-6v would probably work better?
