Garrett76Zt
Hey guys, tried searching a bit but am honestly looking for a quick answer. My Z just munched the #3 rod bearing and the rod and crank are toast. I'm looking to pick up another crank and (1) 9mm 240z rod to get the car back on the road. Are all L motor cranks the same?(excluding the diesel) I'm running an L28et crank now. Thanks.
zforce
Yessir no difference, but why do you only want to change the one rod ? why not all of them ?
Administrators BRAAP Posted May 18, 2009 Administrators Share Posted May 18, 2009 Garrett, As already stated, the L-28 cranks are all the same, no difference between years, models, etc. Yessir no difference, but why do you only want to change the one rod ? why not all of them ? Most likely his other 5 rods are the 9mm L24 rods and are still in good condition, i.e. no spun bearings, not bent, etc.
Garrett76Zt
Ok thats great news! Yeah, I wont know for sure until I tear it all the way down but I believe only one rod/bearing was damaged. The others should be fine, anybody got a spare 9mm rod?
