ecoformance Posted May 27, 2009 Share Posted May 27, 2009 I've been reading through the site for a couple months now and figured I'd make a post. We have a customer at our shop who wanted to do an LS1/T56 swap in his '73 240z. I bought a 00 Camaro takeout off ebay and put it in with the JTR mounts. Running a Tilton clutch master with a custom stainless line. Using a reflashed stock ECU. I removed all the wires out of the harness that we don't need to make it do what we want it to do. I bought one of the ebay 3 core aluminum radiators that came in today and is waiting for a test fit. Looks nice though. The fuel tank is out to get lined and have a fitting for the return line welded on. The walbro inline pump that came with the JTR kit has a 5/16 in and 5/16 out, will that flow enough going into the 3/8 inlet on the Corvette fuel filter? I only have one or two pics here on my home computer but I'll try to post them. We really only get to work on it when regular business is slow, and thankfully we've been pretty busy lately, but it gets in the shop every once in awhile. maichor Posted May 28, 2009 Share Posted May 28, 2009 JCI and JTR are similar in some respects and could be confused in that JCI/John's cars or http://www.brokenkitty.com has been doing JTR or jagsthatrun.com swaps for years in Texas. ecoformance Posted March 10, 2010 Author Share Posted March 10, 2010 It's been awhile since I've posted, but we've been making slow progress. We're working on the car in between regular repair and maintenance work as well as insurance collision jobs in the body shop, so it's been slow going. The engine harness is finished and the car is running. The ECU is mounted in the passenger kick panel. The Classic Auto Air streetrod evaporator is mounted and all the AC lines have been mocked up and crimped. The condenser is in, there's an aluminum Champion radiator in there. The shroud for the two 12" fans in made, but not completed. All of the autometer gauges are mounted and wired. Most recently we did the exhaust. It's two 2 1/2" Flowmaster ball flanges in the a 2.5" Y-pipe with a 3" outlet into a QTP electronic cutout, a Magnaflow 3" cat out into a Magnaflow can. -Jon Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The JCI headers took some finessing to get the outlets pointing towards the back of the car instead of the body of the car. Heat and bend, heat and bend.
