I pulled a Unizen ICB-12 rear brake light flasher out of my z and can not seem to find anything about it on the entire net. It is a small black box with a knob that adjusts the speed at which your brake lights flash when you press the pedal. It has japanese script on it also. I don't know if this is the right area to post, but was wondering if anybody could offer me some insight on this item. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Ahh, I let my dad take care of all that. We know all about the custom insurance, his car has it. But, ill have to ask him about other options and we may be able to get more, he is dealing with it.

Its state farm and we have all of our insurance through them including like 10 cars. Plus my parents have been with the same guy for around 35 years. They can't do anything better than that. I know its a bummer I was hoping to get enough to do at least wheels and some body work.

Well i think we are going to accept the insurance under one condition. They said they would not salvage it. And one other plus is that this is the reason i needed to start a full out body work, paint, mod, and new wheels to make it look sick.

I forgot to mention the insurance company totaled it but they say it is only worth $500. So, after deductable enough to buy a winshield.

The z's thin sheet metal is good and bad. Good for power to weight ratio. Bad for hail. On September 15th Wichita, KS had one of the biggest hail storms ever. Setting a state record hail piece at 7.75 inches in diameter. Lets just say bad idea to be outside. If you youtube the storm it is pretty amazing. The pics i am posting of the hail, all pieces are about 4in in diameter. the dent in the fender looks like a bowling ball got smashed into it.

Hey this is the guy you bought the engine from. Looks great. Is the ground issue with the oil filter the reason we couldn't get it running. Just curious because you could see from our harness how we had it hooked up. I hope the trans mount fit great. Glad to see it went to a good home as opposed to just let it sit in some garage. I hope you are happy with all of the parts and fitment of the driveshaft and such. Can't wait to see it drive. We will have to get together one day for an all z cruise.

There is a red juice called water wetter that seems to work pretty well for lowering temps.

I have a set of pistons that came out of a non turbo n42 block. They are dished top stock pistons. As far as I can tell they are stock diameter but i could always check. If these are the same as the turbo pistons, I would be happy to ship you one. Or six with rods for that matter. Kevin

I have had this same problem in 3 of my 240z's. It is almost always just a worn out turn signal lever. Try to push it up hard and then wiggle it back and forth a little. That usually does the trick on mine. It even does it sometimes on my brand new assembly. However that only works if they are just worn a little, if yours does not make contact at all this will not work. Kevin
