macrosshn
guys, i'm at my wits end diagnosing my brake issues---more specifically my rear disc brake drag issue. i'm using a 7/8th master cylinder and wanted to know if there is a residual pressure valve built into it that. i've searched and seen it mentioned being in place in a 15/16th mc. also, some have stated that they have to "gut" the distribution block / combination valve. did you guys just remove the little spring on the inside and leave the little piston the seperated the front and rear circuit intact? or did you completely remove it all? i'm trying to eliminate a few leads concerning my brake drag, any input would be appreciated. please help! softopz
Had the same exact issue it would lock the rear brakes with just a touch and nothing for front checked and checked, than bled and bled. Did you ever remove your booster? could be the reaction disk. Its a rubber seal that does wonders! heres the post from the sticky http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=138712 good luck
macrosshn
thanks for the reply. what i forgot to mention is that the master cylinder is being used in a 510 but i'm using the mc and brakes from a Z-car, so no brake booster or reaction discs to worry about. would anyone happen to have a picture of a gutted distribution block. front brakes work great, rears are a little soft and suffers from brake drag.
