240zBoy Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 I have been trying to get my stock 240z motor to run but no fuel wants to get through the lines. It is a mechanicle one by the way. I blow through the lines and the fuel tank bubbles, but no gas is even in the settlement filter before the pump. I took it apart today and the spring and arm seem to work together but that was all I could tell needed to be checked. How do I know if the pump is my problem or if not what would it possibly be. 2eighTZ4me Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 Put your finger over one of the barbs where the fuel hose hooks up and actuate the pump lever. See if it sucks or blows your finger. Usually, the rubber diaphragm inside the pump goes bad. If it's bad, it won't suck or blow. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
