BAlford
How do you remove the knobs from the two switches on the dash that control the dash light brightness and the one that operates the rear hatch wiper? The manual shows the knobs removed from the stems but we can not see how the remove them. waskomtexas@waskomtexas.com
blueovalz
Is there a set screw only visible from under the knob being the dash slopes back at that part? Turn the knob until visible (I think)
BAlford
I looked them over real good and found no set screws.
Guest Anonymous
Probably a silly question, but have you given them a tug? If theres no side setscrew then its probably just pushed on a splined or D shaped shaft that goes to the pot. *shrug* Regards, Lone
BAlford
yes, we have tried pulling and prying with no luck. Some light switches have a release in the switch body that releases the stem and knob. I have not been able to find any kind of release. BAlford
To take off knobs: 1) Push the knob in 2) While pushing in, turn knob (I believe you can turn in either direction, but try right). It should come off. The knobs have a small spring within the plastic that holds it against the switch shaft. Try it, it'll work.
