V8 Build List

Recommended Posts

I have been shopping around for a V8 conversion for a 260z and here is what I have come up with:

The 350:

The Tranny (Level 1 stock):

Carb:

Now what I need to know is if this will cover the conversion, or will a new suspension and rear end be necessary?

It would be cheaper to buy a complete engine and transmission from a later model gm.

for less than $2000 you can get a low mile 5.3 liter from fan to tail housing complete with all brackets, pulleys, accessories, and efi . Then maybe another 2000 to get it running in and running (brackets, mounts, shifter, radiator, driveshaft, efi work, speedo, wiring, et)

I'll sell you my sbc driveline out of my 240z for $2800, from the radiator hoses to the driveshaft. (including the shifter and speedo cable, front x-member and trans x-member)

(see my ad in the F/S section.)

and your rear end and suspension will be fine, dont make me post the r200 wheelie picture.
