taxman
Picked this 240Z up today. If anyone could tell me a little about what I got my hands on it would truly be appreciated. What do you think it's condition/value? Are there any noticeable rare parts at all on the vehicle? Any knowledge about the 260Z motor that has been swapped inside? etc. All info is truly appreciated! -greg Here is a pic my friend snapped of me picking it up and strapping it down to the trailer: Then when we made a pit stop I peeled off the door gaurds as they were bugging me since I don't like door gaurds. And here is the car at my house after giving it a quick rinse from the garden hose: 260Z motor with only 30k mileage dropped inside The trunk also has a bunch of parts sitting in it such as new shock struts, spindles, springs, rubber seals, and various other parts. According to the title for the car the guy before me has had it since 1982; so there has not been many owners of this car. The motor runs and I can't believe how quiet of a car it is. Hope you enjoy the pics! -greg
hoov100
To be honest it looks like you went back in time to the 80's and brought it back.

hoov100
the entire car is for being in that nice of shape for the area your in. alright, the l26 has weber down draft carbs and some sort of red coil, motors probably pushing somewhere around 400 at the wheels and it looks like they un hooked you smog equipment. (just kidding about the HP figures.)
icapture
that wooden switch panel is pretty rare. Never seen one of those in an S30.
taxman
So I am needing to further examine the car and see if it's worth keeping for all the work that it would entail. If I do go through with restoring it, I plan to make it into a fun track day car and drop a 350z motor into it.
hoov100
go through the car with a fine tooth comb, do some poking and prodding in it and make your assumption from there. But if its as clean as it looks in the pics, i dont think you should have to do much body work.
