260DET
The commentary is OK but why the awful video coverage? Long shots rule apparaently, unless there is a crash there is no up close video usually. I mean looking at a distance at a group of cars running round and round, how boring is that. Sometimes they show cars in a corner, car is moving around a bit, oh that looks interesting, no, they then cut to another shot, usually long. Short attention span? There has to be a lot of skill in driving like they do but the video, rubbish
DavyZ
I actually think the IRC footage is the best--I find it the least boring of nearly all racing film footage. Funny, but I actually would rather watch drag racing on TV rather than NASCAR, perhaps because the race has a brief conclusion, so the finality is eminent. Watching NASCAR is, to me, an almost tedious experience at times. All automobile racing is interesting to me, but I have to agree it depends on the footage. Also, it cannot be denied that it is better in person. I have been to Lowes Motor Speedway and have watched the NASCARs on the track (but not a race) and it's exciting. I really want to go to a race and be there in person. Davy
