B00STDZ
its also 240sx oem... and being that the ka24 dohc throttle body is jecs manufactured... this TPS probably goes to a dohc ka24 throttle body...(sohc top cooled ka24 throttle body is hitachi manufactured not jecs)
FlatBlack
That's a throttle position switch, the KA24 has both the switch and the position sensor wires coming out of it. [There are two different plugs on it]
EddieBird
Throttle Position Switch..interesting.. So, what do I use this for? Can I kind of, tune with this?
FlatBlack
It tells your ECU to shoot more fuel over 4000 RPM. Youre AFM stops reading at a certain RPM [because it is fully open] and TPS is one of the things the ECU uses to shoot fuel. Read the EFI Bible. It is somewhere here, just do a search. HowlerMonkey
The zx turbo ecu doesn't use the full throttle switch part.......only the idle switch. If the distance between the bolt holes is 49mm, then it's off of a VG30 up to around 1989 though the late california Z31s had position sensor harness and switch like the later VG30s and stanza throttle body that used the jecs sensor.. If the distance is around 65mm, then it fits a 280zx turbo and possibly the 280zx n/a.
