J240ZTurbo Posted July 25, 2009 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Hi, I got a 1977 280z I purschased a new battery few days ago becaused it died. I also replace it with a 280zx alternator. For some reason I cant find the black wire that goes to the alternator "E" do I need this wire connected? Anyway I connected the alternator and my new battery and the car turn on fine with no problem but now as soon I do an alternator check by disconnecting either the positive or the negative plug from the battery the car dies..please help me I need this car next week to take my son to daycare....
