Oddball Z, please help with the mismatch parts.

Recommended Posts

So, the block is L28, Head is P79, and Intake Manifold is W24, I have another manifold in a box at home with some other mismatch parts, Is this manifold proper for this car, and what so has it changed (car is 1978 Datsun 280z)

Previous owner has flaked, so Ive lost my source.

even the W24? I have another intake manifold at home that has split piping, i think he was gonna convert it to carburation

thats a stock L28e manifold . The only big differences in EFI intakes is some intakes have webbing between the runners and some don't and some had an EGR. Don't recall the year changes off the top of my head but either way there both stock L28 intakes.

a carbed intake is noticeably different than and EFI intake "split piping" doesn't really describe much

this is an L6 duel SU carb intake

the one that I have now is webbed between the intake tubing, Alot of vacuum lines on the car are not hooked up or plugged, it seems like alot of things are not put on, but it still runs really smooth. The one I have in a box does not have the webbing in between the intake piping. I dont recall the number off of it though.

there both stock L28 EFI manifolds. A clear picture of the manifold on your car would help with the vac lines
