aceofspades
ok I tried a search on google and here and only found info on 5 speeds and the speedo gears! so its seem the trans in early 260 is not stock seeing the trans neutral switch has different plugs on it! So how do you ID which year your trans is car? is there cast number or stamped numbers in it some where? am i missing it due to dirt? I know it has the yellow speedo gear in it but my speedo is off a bit! also whats the point of the neutral switch on a manual trans?

Xnke
that's just a regular replacement switch, it's very likely a stock trans.
jbk240z
IIRC, the numbers you need to ID the trans are on the top of the bellhousing at the engine block mating surface. You probably could see them from under the hood. Good luck.
