jmak Posted September 20, 2009 Share Posted September 20, 2009 so im currently trying to remove the intake manifold but im stuck. i know maybe someone already post something but i tried the search bar but no luck. anyways i've disconnected all vaccum hoses then fuel lines w/ rail and removed 4 top bolts holding the manifold. 19762802+2 Posted September 20, 2009 Share Posted September 20, 2009 There are bolts around the exhaust manifold if you feel around under there you will feel them they have washers on them and they overlap the exhaust manifold and the intake manifold so loosen those up enough that so that you can slide your intake manifold up and off. Administrators BRAAP Posted September 21, 2009 Administrators Share Posted September 21, 2009 If you have 4 intake bolts on top removed, and the 6 exhaust nuts that also capture the intake, (not just any 6 exhaust nuts, but THE 6 that hold the intake as pictured below), if doesn't come loose, more than likely you have a stuck gasket. Also, you do have a service manual of some sort right? Even a Haynes manual? Also, Please read these 2 links!
