randy 77zt Posted May 26, 2002 Share Posted May 26, 2002 my 77 z has working factory a/c.it blows real cold but would like more volume/air speed from vents.heard a zx blower motor is better and is a bolt in .any other suggestions?will probaly set it up with a relay on the high blow position like a gm. DavyZ Posted May 27, 2002 Share Posted May 27, 2002 Randy, I have heard that a CRX has the same size motor (or very close to it) and it blows a heck of a lot more air. Also, Pete Paraska may have something on his site dealing with his upgrade. I think it was from a Lincoln or LTD and is so powerful that it can blow the car backward at speed. Seriously, the Honda upgrade is a bolt-in apparently, and is the easiest. I cannot provide any links, but perhaps someone else can??? Davy BTW--good to see you posting on the board again, my friend. pparaska Posted May 28, 2002 Share Posted May 28, 2002 I don't have anything on my site about my blower fan "upgrade", but it's a 84 fullsize LTD fan, and it makes a bunch of racket and is probably TOO MUCH air.
