Zreddy
I came across this awhile back and now that im trying to figure out what to do with my oil pan dilema, does anyone know or has anyone tried doing this and seeing if it'll work? I believe they did this on a 240sx. (i just read that it was done to just clear the front sway bar on a 240sx, not the axles or everything else) But if anyone has any inputs, i'd still like to know... I want to try for myself anywase because im just curious.... http://image.superstreetonline.com/f/8990180/130_0703_06_z+nissan_240sx_rb25det_rb26dett_engine_swap+modified_rb26_oil_pan.jpg Sorry if this has been asked before or posted... i swear i did a search first... LOL But sorry on my behalf, if it has been.
ShaggyZ
I don't think it matters for the S30 guys because we need a rear sump pan and the RB26 AWD oil pan is a front sump. Right?
RB26powered74zcar
As long as it clears the front X member, that would work on a Z...
Zreddy
Ic.... Well i'll get my engine on a picker within the next few days and i'll do some test fits and measurements. Zreddy
Just another quick question... Idk how to really put it into words, but her its goes. Wouldnt cutting too much of the sump part as they did in that pic be bad? Oil wise...?
subtle_driver
that rb26 pan will not work. you gotta have a rear sump. i already tried this. if you somehow converted it to a rear sump, then were talking.... if anyone can pull this off, lmk.
