DRFTEM
Ok I recently purchased a 1974 260z with a l24 and 5 speed. it needs a speedo that works. the one I have stops working over 30 mph. and a working tach the one in it pegs as soon as the car starts up. also the fuel level never changes on the gauge I have.I only want gauges that you know for a fact work. If i didnt care i would pull one from the junk yard.I am located in sandiego.

giorgio61
You might want to check your fuel tank sender and its wiring. I'had a similar issue with my fuel gauge always full (I only wish) the wiring was pretty worn out and damaged, replaced the section from the tank sender to the hatch area and that solved it. Mario
I agree with Giorgio check it. it sounds like electrical problems many time is the speed cable, I also have the gauges but check to make sure.
Project Z
Check your wires first like everyone says but if you still need the gauges, I have three whole sets all working and I'm in San Diego too. Wait, did you just buy your 260 this weekend up in Alpine?

Project Z
Aww man I hope you lowballed the guy. I was the guy on the Lexus. We bailed because the car had so many issues and not worth what he was asking. I'd tell you but you might take offense in it.
