zedsn
Actually there are built in air horns in your airbox. They were pretty clever when they put together the air box. You could cut them out of the box if you are so inclined but then you would be sucking in dirty air. Maybe you can go the K&N air filter route. Drax240z
5. This site is based in the USA, and as such, text is to be written in English. There are web sites available on the web that can translate text from many recognized official languages to English, if you don't know it. (But then how could you read this? ) Gangster-slang, or any other cute, obtuse, street-talk dialects are not tolerated. Write in clear English that does not require a current knowledge of the latest street-slang. Text message or IM shorthand does not qualify as English. Always try to use proper punctuation, spelling AND capitalization. Following the rules of hybridz.org is mandatory if you wish to post here. olie05
Since 3/4 of the replies so far have nothing to do with the original topic, I think I'll contribute. If you look at some of the guys running triple carbs (carburetors, for those not hip with the slang) you will see some examples of custom air boxes. A lot of them look like what TWM offers for the 6-cylinder setup on the following page: http://twminduction.com/airbox.htm These types of air boxes can be made of fiberglass, carbon fiber, or some type of sheet metal. Also there is some tuning theory behind the volume that the air box should be. The simple way out would be to get some sort of individual filter set up for each carburetor with a built in velocity stack. Racetep.com sells something like this: http://racetep.com/webfilter.html also, black dragon sells options for individual filters for the carbs. morbidsunroof
Try this! Remove the orange cover and leave the filter and backing plate w/horns. Cut out a piece of diamond plate or engine turned aluminum slightly larger than the filter and bolt it up! It looks great and has low restriction!
