TomoHawk
Is it possible to make something the 280Z's charcoal cannister/evaporator can? I was thinking about rolling some (fuel-proof) cloth with activated charcoal, then jam it into a short length of 1 1/2" PVC pipe, cap the ends, then attach the plumbing. The cannister that's in there is sooo big and takes up room I could be using for my power steering pump.
denny411
another option would be to relocate the canister to the front wheelwell. Lots of newer cars have them their, and it would only require plumbing your vent hose through the fender well
TomoHawk
That doesn't hit me as something safe to do. It doesn't look like there's enough room in there. If you go down on the wheel, then you end up tearing the thing out. You could move it to the radiator area, but that will be tough to access, but looks like the best place so far, unless you can get a compact version of the thing. What do cars use today? Is it smaller?
pparaska
I have one out of a JY (an early 70 Chrysler) where the battery used to be.
