Mauisnow13 Posted November 23, 2009 Share Posted November 23, 2009 If you aren't going to get paint soon, I'd recommend throwing some glossy rustoleum on the car. It looks pretty decent, especially for like $50. And, it can be rolled onto the car, so no need for worry about overspray and the paint settling on objects around the car. Look up Big Phil's car. He did this to paint it black and it turned out great. Affordable and you'll get better looks than rolling around in primer. Just look up Rustoleum paint job or roll on paint job or something along those lines on google and there are some sites that'll walk you through it. Research a lot before you do it and you could end up with a result like this guy: (Yup, that's good ol' Rustoleum! (Believe it or not)) <-------Parenthesis inside of a parenthesis. Rock on.... Make sure you get gloss. Like I said, read up a lot. piston Posted November 25, 2009 Share Posted November 25, 2009 why not just use black primer for a decent flat look temporary instead of actual rattle can paint? you dont have to sand as much later and you can paint over scuff primer instead of sanding off old rattle can paint! however rattle can primer is a great temporary protection...
