Cuekoo Posted December 21, 2009 Share Posted December 21, 2009 Tomorrow i will be ordering parts for my build. LQ4 4L80e combo. I am unsure about where to get a trany mount for my car. Is the mounting the same for the 4l80 and 4l60? Do i need to custom fabricate a mount? Any other information would be greatly appreaciated from anyone. Thankyou. deja Posted December 21, 2009 Share Posted December 21, 2009 The 4L80e trans is longer than the 4L60e transmission but from what I can see the mounting from the tranny to the crossmember is pretty much the same. Get the stock tranny mount for the 4L80E and you can either fabricate the cross memeber or use the JTR mount DAT-106 and adapte it http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Parts_DAT200.html. It looks like you could just mount it further back and use the stock 4L80E isolator to bolt through the JRT mount. I think you'll be fabricating your own. blue72 Posted December 22, 2009 Share Posted December 22, 2009 Different vehicle. I went from the SBC / 700 combo to the 454 / 4L80 in my Suburban.
