Cable-x question

Recommended Posts

For those using it, did you connect it to the upper or lower cable? If to the lower cable, did you mount it in the trans tunnel or route the lower cable into the car and mount it under a seat? It seems a clunky kind of way to do this, but I can't come up with another way to run the stock 83 speedo with a transmission that has no built in sensor.

thanks,

Jared

Jared,

My 78 only have one cable (no cruise conrol-bummer). But you don't really hook it up to a speedo cable anyway. It wires up to a speed sensor on the tranny and then drives the stock mechanical speedo. What trans are you working with that has no sensor? Oh, and I placed my box inside the right side kick panel where the old FI computer used to reside.
