Turn Signal & Brake Light Headache

Just got the Z, going over the electrical to get her safe for street driving.

Stumped with the current and final problem.

RIGHT Brake lights and turn signals operate completely fine. Here are the problems:

  • When 4-way flashers are on, lights will freeze on when the brake is depressed. (Just realized this is normal operation)
  • Left turn signal operates fine
  • Left Brake Light ONLY works when I stop the turn signal when the turn signal bulb is lit up. If I stop the turn signal when the bulb is off the left brake light WILL NOT operate
  • When the left brake light does work, the front turn signal gets brighter when brakes applied & the indicator in the dash lights up.

It's kind of confusing to explain, hopefully some one understands what my problem is and can offer some incite to fix this. So far I have replaced the front left turn signal socket & bulb, confirmed the rear tail light "circuit" (the 4 bulbs and wiring to the first plug) is in working order, traced the ground and power and found no splits or any probems. Any help or tips would be awesome. Thanks

I sincerely am stumped.

I myself have blinker problems. But it comes and goes.

I think it is just the blinker itself, and i was going to replace it sometime.

My guess is it could be a faulty wire that may be going bad. Or another wire is cross connected with the blinkers and brake lights. Thus when you press the brakes, and they work, the blinkers get brighter because they are getting more electricity than suppose to. Check the wires again to all brake lights, head, and blinkers.
