Anime_fun
Hi, im choosing my rims now. And i came across a couple of Rota Slipstreams and was wondering if they would fit and if anyone have them installed on they're car so i could see how they looked. Didn't find anything on hybridz search or google, so i felt like i had to make a thread. Thanks for all your help!
mrcheeze36
You haven't mentioned wheel specs (size, width, offset) or the type of Z it's going on (S30, S130, Z31, Z32, Z33), so it'll be hard for someone to tell you if they fit without having that info. Anime_fun
Yeah sorry, forgot that! It's gonna go on a S30, with the size of either 16x7 or 17x7.5 with 40 offset.
deja
40 offset is a lot. You're going to have to run spacers or adapters to get them back to a 0 offest. I am running 17x7 40 offset and run 1.5" adapters. http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp
Anime_fun
What offset would you recommend? But i am also thinking of some other rims, maybe the Watanabe's, König Rewind or some other one's. Feel free to help me make a choice
deja
Choosing wheels was tough for me too. Ideally you want a 0 offset so the wheel is centered on the hub. But you also need to look at the backspace. If you get too positive the wheel/tire will hit your spring mounts and if you get too negative it won't fit under the fender. There is wiggle room in offsets and backspace but not too much in our cars. You can see how the backspace will affect offset and vice/versa by playing with the link I posted above.
