Guest ttoude
It will start and drive but ONLY with 1 second of gas from the pump, (just a quick flick of the gas switch). But if I leave the fuel pump switch on constant I get black smoke and quickly shuts off. 1977 280 with 81 turbo motor and 83 ECU and harness and turbo fuel pump. (no dropping resistor like the 81's) Stock injectors NEW fuel pressure regulator stock fuel pump 95psi etched into the side all wiring is per the Hybridz turbo swap The question: please help, the motor went in on Dec 28 and is still not behaving. I'm almost ready to just set the whole thing on fire and buy a horse. Horses dont have any wires to confuse The "Is it possibles": Is it possible that the injector harness' are mixed up? Is it possible that my hijacked fuel switch is to blame? I'm lost and angry
Guest ttoude
Also I found the order for the injectors at the ECU end, 101,102 etc. But the injector end of them doesnt seem to be marked. Is there a way to identify the inj harness order without de-tapping all the wires and following them?
KillerBjt
Have you check that the AFM is good?
Tony D
Check CHTS loop at the ECU, and that the fuel pressure is correct. Let us know what you find.
