slipknotanfitch9
This is my 280z I bought last weekend ,The first picture is where the ignition bolts to the steering shaft, I got two of the screws off but the other two do not appear to come out, is there anyway to fix this? the second picture is where the key goes in, I'm guessing its missing the whole assembly. I need to know what I have to do to make it work. I can stick a flathead in there and turn it like there was a key in it. I know nothing about the key thing so don't hesitate to explain like I know nothing. thanks guys
leftover z
Those were the "anti-theft" screws that Datsun used. You can use a Dremel tool to cut a slot, then use a standard screw driver to get them out. Or you could drill it out.
slipknotanfitch9
Ok so there not ment to come out. Sure that makes sense haha. Well there's one question down, I called abc last night and they want 150$ for the ignition cylinder thing. Sooo I think I'll be using a screw driver for the time being.
