Guest Anonymous
Hello everyone, I know everyone has their own tastes when it comes to body styling/modifications. Some like the stock look, some like the wild look. I have always liked the IMSA/GT2 wide bodies of all kind of race cars and have long admired Koenig's agressive looking body enhancements for Porshes, Ferraris etc.... Lately, I've been wanting to upgrade the look of my IMSA body Z car and wanted to get opinions of how much is too much before it gets tacky. So far I've been working on a full carbon kevlar hood, gnose, airdam, center console, mirrors and rear tail panel cover. Has anyone ever seen a Z with one of those big aluminum 2 stage tails on a Z? I've also been measuring the front ends and tails from the late model twin turbo supra. With a little cutting and fiberglassing, I'm confident I can make a good fit. Sometimes simple is better and I really don't want to spend the money/time buying tails and Supra body kits if it's going to turn out tacky. Please post your opinions. Guest Fast Frog
Your ideas don't sound too "ricey". Check out some of the member's cars and featured cars-particularily Terry Oxandale's ride. But, please don't slap too many stickers on it!! Rick
blueovalz
IMVHO if it's functional, go for it. Key word for me is "funtionality".
DavyZ
Are you trying not to make it look like your PrimaDonna??? Just a joke, Hoover! I personally like the IMSA style cars due to their "Coke bottle" shape and overall aggressive stance. On a personal note, it sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Incorporating some styling cues from other cars like the Supra sounds great!
Scottie-GNZ
Terry hit the nail on the head. If it is functional, go for it. It is one thing to look ricey and another to be able to back it up. My problem with "ricers" is not the look, necessarily, but the attitude and ignorance. ------------------ Scottie 71 240GN-Z Scottie's GNZ

Guest Frank280z
Yeah the Supra taillights are nice. I saw a set molded in the back of a Z32. Threw me off a bit. Frank
Guest Anonymous
I found a shop locally that stocks body kits from BOMEX. I'm going to ask if I can mock up some of the pieces on my car. I've got to get you a picture of the owners twin turbo Supra, it's a definite head turner.
