aftermarket door mirrors

Hey Pete, welcome there are a few of us in Houston Myron, Lotus(mike), myself and a few others...

As for the mirrors look at Pete's site he has some toyota mirrors and others have used 300zx mirrors. Most of the modern mirrors will have to mount to the window frame. so you will have to make a bracket or rivet them to the window frame. Good luck

Since this seems to be a all houston post so far, how would you guys like to get together for a little BBQ maybe and chat about our cars. Who knows we may have parts the others might need just collecting dust in our garages. I would love to meet some of the other houston guys. I think there is one other Ray didn't mention, HPTech i think was his name. Haven't seen a post in a while from him.

Hi Pete, I'm the other Pete P that Ray was referring to. I haven't put the mirrors on yet, but if you search the forums with the search tool you should find some info on this.

I have pictures of the mirrors at:

I need to do some modifying of the base and make some bracketry for mounting them in the front corner of the window frame.

Welcome to HybridZ, BTW!

Please document the frame mounted mirrors. I've got th edesire for new mirrors but am not sure what to do with the existing holes so I'm holding off for now. I DID see some very nice carbon fiber mirrors in Racer's Wholesale though smile.gif Just not sure the base is big enough to cover my existing holes.....

Does the glass have to be cut at all for the frame mounted mirrors? Maybe I'm visualizing wrong, but I'd like to have one of those handles inside to adjust the mirror. Too many damn SUVs and high dollar import cars blinding me with their HIDs!

Somewhat down at the bottom of my to do list is to get one of those pull down window shades for the back window. I'm gonna replace the shade with aluminum foil or something and have it attached to a cable which I can pull at the front. High Beam This!
