You going to boost this thing heavy? Sleving a block has been done for a long time, what kind of piston is in the block? I wouldn't worrie too much if you think the egine was built well. Who built the thing? I have used motors for $500.00 but and i am sure they are out there for that much. Does it havea head? Sounds like a 82-83 N/A motor. They use F54 also. Anyhow, my .02 on that.
