  1. I did a Titan with a returnless fuel system. When I mounted the Aeromotive 1000 pump I did all the plumbing from below with the regulator, set the fuel pressure to 36 psi at idle from below and that was that.
  2. Too much bearing clearance, in better words your engine is efed. How's your turbo?
  3. I should be in AZ in a month or so.
  4. Can't you use the Turbo drive shaft? I hear it will fit the N/A tranny if you sand it very clean?
  5. I think I saw it last week at a junk yard called MOP in Miami.
  6. Someone please put that car/motor on the dyno and see what's the story. GT40 on that motor, nothing smaller or its a bad balance. That stroker motor and cylinder head breath too much to down size that small, but thats just my opinion. That combo will make power with anything you set it up with, specially on that light little race car. COOL!!!
  7. I run a large exhaust check valve to my exhaust or down pipe for vacuum.
  8. You can't run coil packs with a single 6a box and you tune in boost timing corrections on your ignition map buddy.
  9. I'm using a system from EMS, but I have the Microtech I pulled off my car laying around if your interested. It's affordable, easy to tune and install and works great. Check out microtechefi.com I have a LT10 system.
  10. Ok on the return lines, they do run downward in a gravity bleed. Otherwise the return pump I used would allow me if I so wanted to run 90's and upward slopes on the return. I didn't do this because it is not natural for me to do that type of routing. The blow off valves only open on decell and exhale when open. Nothing is getting in there even if they where wet. The truck is a lifted 4WD and I don't see anything "grabbing" lines or burning. STS runs these systems exposed and I havent heard any big problems with cracking exhaust housings. Performance wise you have your idea about loss of energy, but I am sorry, again, your wrong. GT35R's on a V8 have no lack of energy and this truck will pin you to the seat right on your throttle. I'm not sure if your assuming this is how things go with remote turbos or if you actually do this type of work. I don't want to come off like a hater, I really don't care too much about opinions, its your s and you can have them. By the way, I drove this truck 1000miles from Florida to Texas, no fires, no oil burn and nobody could run with me. Cheers!
  11. That car is coming alon NICE!!! What did you have to do about motor mounts?
  12. I found more pics of the truck, look out if you see it on the streets.
  13. You going to boost this thing heavy? Sleving a block has been done for a long time, what kind of piston is in the block? I wouldn't worrie too much if you think the egine was built well. Who built the thing? I have used motors for $500.00 but and i am sure they are out there for that much. Does it havea head? Sounds like a 82-83 N/A motor. They use F54 also. Anyhow, my .02 on that. Good luck.
  14. I work on Gulfstreams GII-GV A just moved to TX and looking for work!!!
  15. I saw this on another website and liked it....
  16. Getting married on Saturday.

  17. Ya this fuel rail problem is not a new deal. I have seen the same thing happen with a Performance Products intake. Definately will keep you on your toes. Glad to hear your safe and the car is rebuildable.
  18. Buddy I think you may be better off going with a old school type SBC. There are more options for turbo headers. Parts are easy, and your still gonna make over 700HP if you get the basics right. I am considering going LQ9 because of the 6 bolt main and I know the blocks are good for over 1500HP. Even still I have not purchased one part yet. I am letting the events of the next few months determin what I am going to do. I may move after my wedding and depending on the job I will have I will make the decision on what powerplant I am going with. My chassis guy wants me to do the LQ/S. But we will see. Good luck.
  19. TO4E, GT30 - GT35, any of those will make 300WHP with the programable EFI and a decent injector. Keep it simple.
  20. If your just starting on this project, I hope you know your going to spend well over $1500. The hardest part of the deal is the header. If your not a fabricator at all you better learn how to be one. The old school 350 has a few header options that can be worked for turbos cheap. Otherwise, evaluate what it takes to get a LS motor on boost. You have to think about ignition ://www.msdignition.com/Products/RPM/Timing_Controls/Timing_Controls/6010_-_MSD_6LS_Ignition_Controller_for_LS1-LS6_(24_tooth_crank_trigger)_Engines.aspx . After that you gotta figure out intake manifold, EFI or carb fuel pump and regulator. I can go on and on with this. But I think you got some acounting to do.....
  21. Ya my chassis guy told me about the 351 header idea, and I know what you mean about the steps to getting to my goals. Your hp to ET figures seem right, but you forget to add in the if it hooks factor. If it does hook will it break also is a factor. Anyhow I am not afraid fo trying anything. Lets see how it goes, I am still planing on the wedding more that the car, and I may go with a old style 350 still. I know I can make a 1000hps out of that easy still. Thanks for the input anyhow.
