Need help identifying these parts

Recommended Posts

I bought a 1976 280Z over the winter and have been having troubles getting it to run smoothly. I need help identifying these components and where the connections (vacuum?) go to. I'm not finding them in the FSM (assuming I'm overlooking something)

(1)

The long skinny hose going across the intake manifold/valve cover, and connects to the yellow canister on the pass. side (what is it?, it just looks out of place)

The top of this is cracked, or a nipple has broke off?

(3)

The wire with the bullet connector goes to the bottom of the throttle body

This solonoid of some sort? Has two ports that are missing hoses, where do these go?

1. The canister is a vacuum reservoir for the heater/AC controls

2. There was a nipple/vent on your Dashpot. May work fine without it.

3. The bullet connector goes to your BCDD(Boost Control Deceleration Device), it is disconnected, may be bad.

4. Can't remember.

Probably not!

how long does it run?

Does it restart? How long before it will run again? What do you do to make it restart?

Sounds like it is going very lean.

Check electrical connections. Sounds like something has high resistance, is getting hot, and losing its connection.

Check main harness connections under dash, fuel pump connections.
