Guest Anonymous
hey everyone, im new to the site, and i have a 70 240z, and just picked up a 74 260z a two days ago for just a hundred bucks, complete with even a descent set of vintage american racing 14 inch 200s wheels. Anyway, i need some information on repairing the rust in the area under the rear hatch where the lock latches to the body above the tail light panel. I can't find anyone online that offers this piece for sale. Where can i find it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
denny411
Welcome to the site. the best way to fix it permanently is to replace the hatch with a rust free one. try here http://www.car-part.com/buyer.htm good luck
denny411
sorry ,I thought you meant the hatch itself. they still might list something there.either way it`s still a usefull sight
Jeff
This is such a common problem that Nissan has reproduced a patch panel for this area. It is part #999M1-M0000. http://www.nissanautoparts.com/ still shows it as a good part at a cost of $79.30. Replacing the panel is the easiest way to fix that area.
