Guest 73LT1Z
My 73 240z has a 95 LT1 and T56 completed and running for the last two and half years' date=' sweet ride, currently being repainted, with some body mods and the engine heads being ported and polished. Available to answer as many questions as I can for those interested or considering the swap. As well as those who are still tinkering with the while I am at it syndrome! Or sufferring from the what if episodes! In the words of Mike Knell JTR Fame! " But you would have to be crazy to do all of that! " In my humble opinion, the key is to make the power change without adversely affecting the weight and handling of the Z. Then to improve on the basic performance envelope to accomodate the increased power for better handling, stopping at higher speeds. [/quote'] Sent you an email. I'm new here, and am looking for info/advice on a LT1/T56 swap into the 240Z in my sig.

There is also loads of info on the intricacies of the swap. Go up to the top of the page and click on the search function and type in LT1 search in the Chevy V8 forum. I'll bet that all of your quesions will be answered. When I started my swap I had never messed with fuel injected engines...I was a diehard double pumper guy. I am now convinced, although there is still something very sexy about the sound of secondaries opening on a healthy V8. They wiring is very easy (I was very scared of this part when I started). Fuel system needs to be upgraded. JTR mounts work. Tim
