R3VO 3VOM Posted August 12, 2010 Share Posted August 12, 2010 A few weeks ago, I ordered some floor support rail caps from Zedd Findings in Canada. These are really great pieces, but I was wondering how some of you would recommend installing them. The rails on my car now aren't rusty, just really badly dented from other people jacking the car. I was going to strip off the undercoat and put some POR-15 on the old rails and weld through primer on the new caps and weld them on and finish it off with a new batch of undercoat. I just wanted to know if anyone has done this and if I need to cut out any of the old rail? I would think so, but I was just looking for some input. These are the style rails I got.
