Takumi Trueno
Hello, I am getting my car painted and im looking to get it painted the Grand Prix Maroon. http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/12/14/car-feature-gt-gt-ta-auto-nissan-240zg.aspx That color. I already know the paint code is 116. But that was only offered in Japan so its not in the paint shops boots. Plus the old Datsun paint had lead in it. So I need the non lead equivalent today. If someone can help me soon, that would be great.
Xnke
My paint shop was able to easily work out the color code, and any paint you buy today is going to be unleaded.
Takumi Trueno
Im going through Sherwin Williams. Do you know what code you used? Or can i see your car? Cause I want the color to be just right.
Xnke
My car is going to be 918 orange; just tell them the color and the year, the code should be in the computer regardless of market.
Takumi Trueno
Maybe it was who I spoke to. but I gave him the panit code and the year. problem was it was lead based so I had to find another color. Color was wrong, now I gotta go back and find a right substitute that doesnt have lead.
GOTHALOSISM
My car was that color when I bought it. The original color was metallic blue so it can be done.
PHANTOM-POWER
Hi Your paint supplier should be able to mix any modern brand of paint to your specified colour, it shouldn't matter if it originally had lead in it, as you are not using the OEM supplied paint. Don't want to hijack this thread but the information might be useful to the OP as well. Does anybody know what the paint code is for the bumpers and lower valence on the ZG I had the information a very long time ago, but have since lost it. I remember Alan Thomas saying A BMW Anthracite was a very close match, but I don't remember the paint code. Thanks, Ahmed.
SSS-S30
I've been considering this ZG color also so I'm very interested to see if anybody can post up a correct paint match.
