BLOZ UP
Which board and which processor do you have? IIRC, you have to download a new bootloader then load the firmware for the MS-Extra codes. Have you tried using another USB Serial adapter? Or a computer with a serial port?
JSK
Hello thanks for your response. This is the kit I am using 1 x MegaSquirt-I Programmable EFI System PCB3.0 - UnAssembled Kit (MS130-K) = $187.00 You are right I should try another computer with a serial to rule out any issues that are non megasquirt related. It's not an adapter but each end has a serial and USB. It's just odd it works with only the standard tuning and can't get a com connection in any other. With other software it tells me there isn't com port and if I want offline
BLOZ UP
So, you have the Megasquirt-I kit. With that one, you cannot use the MS2 or MS3 firmware. You have to use the MS-I firmware. To get fuel and spark, you'll need MS1-Extra. See http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms1extra/MS_Extra_Software_Manual.htm#insfirm.

JSK
I followed directions and got it working. It connects to MS1 Extra. Thank you!
