  1. Make sure you're using the proper tuning software and try different USB inputs. I had the same issue. You'll figureit out. Also don't forget to install a driver if using USB to serial data wire.
  2. Hello Matt thanks for your response. My timing is way off on the motor lol when I advance it it retards it. Let me go over my timing alignment and see if this resolves any of my problems which I'm sure it will. I had a hell of a time getting it started this morning when it was 30 degrees out.
  3. I should also say that I don't have my tps hooked up yet of that matters now.
  4. I got my megasquirt running well using a map setting moby provided from metro. Thanks! Tweaked it some. Had to do a lot of researching ugh because everyones application can be different. I'm running a completely stock setup l28 turbo with optical dizzy. Okay my problem is when I use the iat the car runs very rough and unbalanced and won't rev. Is there is a simple explanation to my problem and a table I need to configure. Other wise without it it's an abolsute upgrade over oem! I'm using ms1 extra v3 board. Thanks again!
  5. I'm built my own relay board. The fuel pump wire off the ecu connects to the ground contact on the relay. The ecu engages the switch and grounds it if the system is getting rpm or not. You should have received a wiring diagram with diyautune package.
  6. I was curious if the ign led light needs to function. Everything else operates on the stim as well as all dials and all gauges in megatune. Thanks!
  7. I followed directions and got it working. It connects to MS1 Extra. Thank you!
  8. Thanks for your help! I will look into it when I get the chance and update you.
  9. Hello thanks for your response. This is the kit I am using 1 x MegaSquirt-I Programmable EFI System PCB3.0 - UnAssembled Kit (MS130-K) = $187.00 You are right I should try another computer with a serial to rule out any issues that are non megasquirt related. It's not an adapter but each end has a serial and USB. It's just odd it works with only the standard tuning and can't get a com connection in any other. With other software it tells me there isn't com port and if I want offline
  10. Hello. I have DIYautotunes downloaded MS1 standard (B&G Base Code) MS1 Extra 029y4 MS1 Extra Hi-Res 10G MS2-MicroSquirt BG 2.890 MS2 Extra 2.1.0d (NEW) MS2 Extra 3.0.3t alpha 20100413 (NEW) MS3 beta 0.22 and I can only port connect to MS1 Standard. I have no tables for tuning using this software only constant ve and enrichments. I have no communication detected using any other. I am using a serial to usb and driver. Ive done everything and used all usb ports. Have it in com 1 port and doesnt detect it. Only if I use the MS1 Standard. Thanks for any help!
  11. No I'm not trying to sell anything. I'm providing a source for him to see what products I offer as asked. I would hate for this individual to not see what neato other options there are to offer. Thanks Juan
  12. Heres the kicker. For under 800 you can do a great setup using Wilwoods Forged Superlite calipers and a whole boat load of suppliers that provide rotors and pads. Its like the v8 aftermarket but for brakes. I have seen Toyota Vented front setups go for $500 and people are paying for obsolete brakes when they can buy a racing develope package for only a small fraction more. Its not always weather its stock brakes but how well your money is being spent and what value you are adding to the z in doing so. There are many beneficial reason to upgrade the brake. I dont have time to list these difficult reason. http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=124 here is a thread started by someone who bought our adapters for the 280zx. Juan
  13. I also provide a 100% billet aluminum setup for the 280zx front brakes. The design does not change the offset to the wheels. www.jskinnovations.com thanks again.
  14. Thanks Ill take what you said into consideration.
  15. Hey guys, I have the itch to come up with a drawing of billet intakes for our l28 engines. Consisting of the intake flange,Intake runners with flanges on both ends, and the intake box. No welding required. Just want to start a discussion and what your thoughts may be. Of course I will make every step possible to make it affordable. Thanks in advance Juan
  16. Glenn the package was a flat rate box. It actually weighed around 12-13 pounds. I just simply posted 5 pounds because it didnt matter and I did not have to weigh it. I have emailed the finished project photos and for anyone else who wants to see the project that I have done for Glenn please visit www.jskinnovations.com/glenn280zx.htm It did take time I admit and I do apologize . I apologize as well that the first shipment did not make it with the custom work but an empty box. The package had been torn open at the flap and Im working my best to retrieve the articles. I called 1 800 ASK USPS and notified them of the missing pieces. If I (we) cannot retrieve these pieces we'll have to work something out even if its not my fault directly due to the shipping handling of USPS. Les did not buy custom work but Wilwood adapters that I had to replenish. I went out of my way to supplie him with hardware from PitStopUSA and tracked down some 280z hubs for the project as well as getting a new 280zx master cylinder. Glenn your items are in the mail all of it. 3 different boxes as I did not want to throw everything in one box due to the weight and the metal custom work. I wanted to break it down as courtesy and providing less abuse on the package due to their weight. John Ill take care of you. Though Im not the richest guy in the world Im known to be very selfless. Let me know how I can help you. I know you wanted the rear Wilwood adapters to clear oem offset wheels. Lets work something out my friend. My email is jskmachining@yahoo.com. Simply trade in the old setup and Ill charge you the difference in our newer design. I did this with another customer in Arizona named Mike Mileski. - Juan
  17. Its extremely late right now I haven't read all the topics. I was just googling JSK Nissan. Glenn the package first sent was torn open. I am in the process of working with the US Post Office in retrieving these items. It will take some time hoping they gather things up lost in transits and have it sent to their dead mail department. I have the other packages on their way. I would appreciate that this forum would be updated once every ones receives their items and other related topics. I have had very good dealings and with the machining business things do get backed up. Its simply from running out of stock and having to replenish. The market fluctuates and I'm simply trying my best. Les I have sent your remaining items out to Australia several days ago. I have worked with Les in gathering up rotors calipers hubs and misc items to complete his front wilwood setup on his 280zx. - Juan
  18. A 12 sec car is plenty fast enough for me
  19. I just got done doing my wiring. I have spent alot of time on it! About 30 hrs. I recommend doing the the GM alternator 94 amp while you are at it. I followed the write up on modifying the alternator bracket. You want to cut 1.25" from the front to the back. You will have about 1.9" left. Drill the hole through .394". This is 10mm. Dig into the old wiring harness and save the wires from the alternator going to the fusible links, save all the ground wires ( they are all attached) the instrument power bulb wire green color for my 260z. hmm of course save all the plugs! The aftermarket kit provides the power wrires but you still need to resuse many oem connectors especially within the dash and exterior lighting. I had very good connectors so I reused many of them. I used EZ2Wire kit from ebay. It provided 90% of the wires needed except for ground and alternator wires. Save the old wiring for scrap as you'll most likely be taking snips of wire from it. Oh another thing. Do the 94 Accord wiper mod as well. I'm very happy. No more weak wipers or dim headlights at idle ! I heat shrunk every connection that I could. Make sure to do a good job. I used a soldering Iron 40 watt from Radio Shack or similar. The ones you see at Advance Auto/AutoZone are not strong enough to heat the copper up well. Take your time buddy. Thanks Juan
  20. Hey Bubble Guinea. Are these 2 piece wheels? It looks it. They come in different wheel offsets. Great to see some manufactures coming out with zero offset. We can thank the Scion XB crowd for wanting to space the wheels out and the popularity brought wheels for us back again. They put 195 50 16 for that stretched tire look. Im going to order the same set on eBay for $340 + shipping. I have decided to go 205 50 16. It will run .6" less in diameter. I find 225 a bit to beefy as I have had them before and run .25" oversize than oem. Thanks for posting photos - Juan
  21. "Longer injectors would raise the rail up off the therm. housing." That is exactly what it was. How much do you suggest?
  22. Great job bro! Wow you sure did well with that rail. Thank you Juan
  23. Great write up. I have the alternator. Now time to use your help here. Thanks!
