mal_tiempo
So, I'm hopefully going to be picking up 240 with a L28ET this month. Looking at where I want the project to potentially go, I'm looking at sticking with the stock diameter springs/shocks setup. In looking for camber solutions that bolt on, I've come across several versions of these offset camber plates that use the stock bolts for mounting. In my search, I only found a couple mentions of these type of bolt on plates, and I don't see the "strut thread" mentioned by a couple people in regards to camber adjustments. I'm just wondering if anyone has or is using them, or if some of the suspension gurus on here have anything to say about them? Mostly street driving (daily) and light/weekend track duty is what I'm looking at. Thanks in advance. -Kevin D. All camber plate setups for the S30 are designed to work with 2.5" ID springs. The stock diameter springs are too large to get any meaningful camber adjustment withing the narrow strut tower. About the best you can do is slot the holes in the strut tower and push the insulator/spring combo as far as you can without letting it contact the strut tower sheet metal. That can give you .5 to .75 degrees more negative camber.
sticky280zx
John i think he worded/you took it wrong. i think he is talking about the stut insulators/rubber tops that have offset bolts so you can just unbolt them from the tower, twist, and camber is changed. thezstore.com has a few boltin products that when put together can get up to 1-1.5 deg either way...ive never used them on my car but have used/installed on customer cars and they seem to like them. are you kevin d the mitsu/evo tuner? mal_tiempo
Sticky, you're correct. John, I'm talking about these types of camber plates: I'm not the Evo tuner lol, currently driving a Mazdaspeed6, so I guess I'm still turbo/AWD. Good to hear you have customers who are happy with them. I was reading that the max adjustment is right around -1 to 1.5. Do you possibly have any pics of them mounted? I just don't wanna shoot in the dark as far as where they mount and how they work (pretty good idea, though), hopefully they come with instructions. sticky280zx
they just replace the stock rubber tops that come on your car,and mount the same as stock hence the "bolt in solution"
