LonnHawkins
Hello, I'm looking on purchasing a 1977 280z and the previous owner list rust being an issue on the outside of the vehicle. Minor rust that he believes can be sanded off. But If its sanded off, are there any sprays or anything out there that can protect the car from building up any more rust? I'll be contacting the guy to find out more about the car. http://boise.craigslist.org/cto/2223759625.html
Neverdone
POR-15, Rust Bullet, Zero Rust, Rust Encapsulator, Rustoleum anti-rust pants. You could soda blast the car and then quickly primer and paint it with many coats of paint. You could take the car to a giant electrolysis tank and have it dunked. All in all, there's a certifiable shat ton of options. Good luck in chosing the right one for you! *Hint: They ALL have benefits and drawbacks. There is no perfect obvious solution. rjstcroix
Hey, If its just spotty surface rust clean it up, wipe it down with some neutralizing agent, warm it up to liberate moisture (wifey's/gf's hair dryer will work) and then spray/feather it out with some good self-etching primer.
