Globerunner513
Is this possible to fix? It's a set of Megan s13 coilovers that I'd like to use for the conversion on my 280z. I can probably get the set for a good price, but having only 3 doesn't quite get me anywhere. what do you think? Suggestions? Just buy the set and source out one replacement? Thanks! Snailed
nope, but I bet you could buy a shock body from them. Most companies will sell just that.
Globerunner513
Thanks, that looks like a good way to go. $115 + shipping for the replacement shock from Megan. What do you guys figure is a fair price to offer for the set, considering the damage to the one?
xonix_digital
Is it the housing that's bent? Make sure you are able to buy the housing if it is. Otherwise Id say just buy new. I don't like horsing around with suspension that has obviously been beat on. Edited March 14, 2011 by xonix_digital
johnc
You'll also need to check the shock piston, seals, and shaft to make sure they are not damaged. And not just a look-see. You should send to parts out to be crack tested by a professional.
Globerunner513
Thanks for the info John. Looks like I might have hurt his feelings with my offer :/ Thought it was reasonable enough. Anyway good stuff to know though. It's hard to tell from the picture if its just the insert that's bent or if the whole outer tube is bent.
