KillerBjt
Saw this video on a Audi forum i visit and they were responding to this like this guy was a badass who deserved respect, personally i think he's insane and shouldn't be allowed to race when he does sh*t like this... Administrators RTz Posted March 26, 2011 Administrators Share Posted March 26, 2011 1) I have no particular respect for this driver, based on the video alone. 2) I couldn't care less about the danger to himself. 3) He's breaking the rules and that should have consequences. 4) His distraction elevates the potential consequences for his competitors. 5) His competitors know they are putting themselves in a hazardous environment, and that's a choice they make. No one is holding a gun to their head. 6) I see worse on public roads almost daily. 7) His cage is pink.
KillerBjt
HAHA, number 7 caught me off guard then i realized he did infact have a pink cage. I can understand your feeling that the drivers in the race know full well the danger of racing. I would just hope those that race know better then to do this. Street driving =/= race driving. MassMayhem
Yeah just think how bad it is when kids my age are texting or "Looking for a song on their Ipod". Both are terrible but for some reason the whole music thing doesn't get anyhwere. His cage is pink which just makes everything 10 times worse
johnc
Give the guy a break. Everyone who races does something stupid from time-to-time. Most are not caught on camera. In his case the grid marshals could have spotted his loose chin strap and had him fix it. I've been caught by the marshals without my arm restraints (open cockpit race car) and they helped my put them on with 30 seconds to go. If you don't have a crew its pretty easy to miss things like this because you're nervous before the start.

I have forgotten my arm restraints a few times and pulled up in the grid where a worker has me raise my hands to check for them. No drama with them not fastened, they just came over and did them for me. I appreciated the help and didn't feel particularly stupid because the system caught my mistake.
