riten_thekisser
Hey guys, I've got a 71 240z with an l28 that used to have su carbs on it, and I recently picked up a pish posh bunch of turbo parts that I'm trying to get running. I've followed every how to I can find on how to get this dang thing started. The parts are from a 81zxt, and I'm using a gm hei module. Also, the car was running before I started this endeavor, so I know it's timed right, I've got good fuel pressure. I've rechecked all my wiring thru, and I've hit a wall. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
randy 77zt
The yellow wire that went to the power transistor is what fires the ignition.put a test light on it and turn the engine over with the starter and see if you get flashing
NewZed
Give more details on what you're using and how it's wired, especially the distributor and HEI module. A pish-posh bunch of turbo parts could mean many things.
riten_thekisser
Well, I took out the stock coil and gm ignition module and replaced them with a new msd coil and 6al box. The box is wired up correctly except i dont know where I should splice the white wire into the stock harness. I put a test light on the yellow wire and I got nada on the test light. And to add a little detail on my parts, the only things I didn't get were the 81 coil and module, ignition harness and knock and head temp sensors
