  1. I updated my last post with the only photos I have of the Hawks headers I had. Well I should update this thread. The 240Z sold earlier this last spring with lots of spares. Went to two younger guys, I think its going to join the world of drifting. I've moved over to what I consider the modern 240z, a Toyota 86 (aka Scion FRS) ...which I've spent two months this summer dropping a cam'd LS2 and T56 into. Build thread at: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128216
  2. Though I like outside conversation, its a different design so I agree, it's enough of a deviation to go to its own thread if you could please. PM replied.
  3. All of my original files that I can find are attached in the ZIP. The bushings were converted and CNC'd by Regal CNC in New Carsile Ohio, regalcnc.com, SUPER REASONABLE prices, especially one off jobs. Highly recommend hitting them up if you want more, since they already have the parts programmed. If someone wants, they can buy this bracket and bushings from me for cost of shipping, plus cost of a case of beer or two. Its about $100 in materials, but just gathering dust in my garage now. FordMount.zip
  4. oi, I'm a terrible person. I hope to upload all my files and designs for anyone else to use/complete. I'll try to remember to do this tonight.
  5. Austin has all of the designs and measurements I have, I'll reach back out to see if he's interested in finishing it without me. If not, I'd be interested in letting my parts and designs/measurements go for a very reasonable sum. I'll be posting a rather lengthy rolling chassis for sale / part-out thread later tonight or some evening this week.
  6. Austin Hoke of hokeperformance.com has it all at the moment.
  7. I've given all of my measurements and designs to Austin Hoke, he's a bit backed up with working on his house, and he and his wife just had their second child. But on sad note, I've actually given up on my Z car. I havent had it running in 4 years, I keep finding other things to fill my time. I'm pulling the engine soon to sell the rolling chassis.
  8. After hearing about some failures with someone elses kit twisting Im working with a well known Z vendor and amazing engineer on some improvements the front mount. I'll let you know more when I have it. In the down time, I ended up redoing half of my garage, had to level some concrete, raising the door, and put in a four post lift. Makes it real nice not working on my back on frigid concrete. Woah, I'm on the v8 s30 group, was it there? what was it?
  9. I've received the updated rear mounts. Removed and replaced the diff again, its now where I wanted it. Waiting for front mount now.
  10. Yeah! After talking to a race shop that gave me the idea, I did some searching and found Ronin did that for miata swaps.
  11. Just updating: still waiting on revised rear bushing mounts.
  12. I sent off my revised design to the CNC shop this last week, hope to have new parts on hand end of next week. From there I have a sheetmetal shop waiting to a final measurement on the front mount. Then its off to make a larger batch of them. I'm not doing axles hubs etc. Theres many options and different price points depending on your needs. One guy on the v8 FB group reused the ford axels "Stock explorer axles cut down and resplined to fit 300zx TechnoTuning outer stubs" Which might be the cheapest option, I purchased the driveshaftshop's explorer to 930 cv adapters...
  13. Spent some time on the Z this weekend. Dropped the engine back in. Tided up a few loose ends. Triple measured the rear diff again.
  14. Oh my guys, I'm sorry I'm a slacker here. I've been out touring Germany/Austria/Czech for just short of a month, and came back and have been too busy to keep rolling on the car. I had a friend just last week laser out my front mount, I found one of my measurements off. It'll involve scrapping the two bushing mounts I had CNC'd already. I should be able to get that squared away in the next two-three weeks. I'll be out again for a week at september 15th hiking banff national park just west of Calgary, Canada.
  15. I had planned on doing all with black powder coat on cradle and front mount, but if someone wants raw I can probably put one aside. Eventually. I tried a couple other waterjet/machine shops local as well, but each failed to produce a quote, or I was too small of quantity. A friend recommended teamzmotorsports, and they were lowest price (still) and they were even going to do the powder coat. But its actually getting done now, so thats good. Its in there! Hopefully Ill get this back in there soon, too:
  16. Rough drawing of the Front mount is post 37 in this thread http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/125328-ford-88-irs-swap-v20/?p=1184915 I've already made some changes to it, but that'll be pretty close to it. I was unsure about the sandwiched plate as well, but after talking to the owner at SelfMadeFab he said its something they've done previously without issue.
  17. Its the wife's new car! RHD Rover Mini. Imported from Japan, rust free and only 28000km on the odometer. Picked it up for her on our 6 year anniversary, the "traditional" 6 year present is iron... so i went for old iron
  18. I have it drawn up, but not cut, I wanted to get the rear in and bolted up first to double check my front mount location's height for driveline angle.
  19. Just picked up the flat plate today from the plasma cutter. I had to run my drill press to clean up the bolt holes, but otherwise its a perfect fit so far. I hope to get it bolted in this weekend to finish my front mount this upcoming week or two. *Also thats my wife's classic mini cooper in the background, I just had it imported this April.
  20. Quick update. Dropped teamZmotorsports. Working with selfmadefab.com just north of Dayton for the cradle, and a CNC shop in New Carlisle for the bushing mounts. Should have the bushing mounts in my hand by next week.
  21. I'm still around. STILL WAITING ON teamzmotorsports.net I've gone ahead and found another supplier for the CNC bushing mounts, here in Ohio, and at half the cost as team Z. However their flat plate cutting and powder coating was the best quote I had.
  22. slow, team z is painfully slow to work with. I'm checking other suppliers while i wait.
