  1. I'm trying to find this thread I had bookmarked: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/90939-a853a855-srt-4-240z-project any ideas to what happened to it?
  2. Previous-owner put a 600cfm holley & Bob Sharp intake on the L28 in my 240. A bit overkill if you ask me, been jetting it down little bit by little bit, has a real nasty hesitation on initial acceleration.
  3. I've ordered two sets of flares from ebay, one from a member "specialcarbonfiber" and another set from "jendosa619" jendosa619 was definitely the better of the two sets, it fit reasonably decent to the car. But was not the quite quality I wanted to I sold/returned them (as I did with set from specialcarbonfiber too). You get what you pay for so I bought from RHD/MARUGEN SHOUKAI. My ebay flare thread Photos of jendosa619 fronts: (sorry never took any of the rears) http://print.spitsnaugle.com/img/s11/v34/p379796154-5.jpg http://print.spitsnaugle.com/img/s3/v38/p899158509-6.jpg I never took any photos of the specialcarbonfiber ones, they were so bad I just immediately returned them. They would of fit better mounted to my perfectly-flat concrete floor than my car.
  4. You probably dont want to hear that the panel is around 90 dollars from Australia? via rarespares... $102 after shipping.
  5. It does have side skirts, they just are very subtle/stock looking, basically just extending the body down a bit.
  6. And RHD was great on their service. Highly recommend, its really worth the extra bit of money for the quality. Pay via paypal and it converts the currency for you. You might mention to them your from the hybridz.org forum and maybe my name.
  7. I ordered the standard flares, via the link I posted. They offer an extra wide rear flares. The standard flares fit the bodyline like a glove, (the extra wide rears fit really snug as well) Front: My tape is very weak, but its hanging on there, I could probably align it a little better, this is just for the photo: Rear: I need to bring the flare a bit forward, otherwise its pretty good.
  8. ^This statement is wrong. I just received my ZG flares from RHDjapan, they are the most accurate reproductions I could find. These ZG flares have a very slight crease for the bodyline. It fits perfectly. Will take a photo.
  9. RHD Japan. I just got mine in last night. I've ordered from two vendors here in the states and returned them both times, fitment was poor. These from RHD, are perfection. http://www.rhdjapan.com/marugen-shoukai-wide-over-fenders-zg-wide-type-nissan-s30-s31-68595 Get them shipped via EMS (it arrives via USPS), its the cheapest route and only took like 3 or 4 days to arrive once they were made. Highly recommend these guys.
  10. I would be semi-interested to hear about windshield and hatch glass. Really really depends on $.
  11. Finally test-fit the wheels on the Z this morning. Noticed a few things: Theres pretty significant rub on the frame with the wheel turned at almost full lock. I'm running 245/45/17's. Anyone else have this? The car is in on jack-stands it could be due to that? The front wheels seem wobble a tiny bit on the front hub, they seem to catch a high spot in the center, though the lugs are not quite all the tightened to spec but I would imagine they'd sit a bit more flush? Photo of rub: Photo of wheels: 17x9" -13 Front and 17x9.5" -19 Rears Cooper Zeon RS3-S 245/45/17 front, 275/40/17 rear.
  12. I built my battery box to be a little more than an inch extra space on all sides than the battery, so it would of been too tight. So I'll be welding the wiring loom hole closed from the inside and relocating it the hole right above the frame rail. I could of just put the box lower, to avoid relocating it- but I wanted the wiring in line frame rail since thats the line it'll follow through the engine bay.
  13. Photo update attached. I've welded the box in, (excuse my welds, I burnt through a few spots), and have the surrounding metal about 90% mocked up (a bit extra long in the photo). I'll be using a Deka ETX20L battery, (its a Braille minus the name).
  14. Mine arrived yesterday. Looks great, and was a total of $155 savings over MSA. Hells yeah. Now if only the Z was ready for it :/
  15. Just received the shipping notice. On its way from california. (drop shipped directly from xenon)
  16. Fought the rust demons. Not sure I've won or lost yet :/
  17. And to think I almost bought one from MSA, would have cost me 300 shipped. Anyway- I ordered one on friday. Order status shows "shipping in 1-2 weeks" Will follow up shipping time.
  18. Bought myself a small metal brake yesterday and made a 16gage 8.5 x 4.5 x 6 battery box. Did a rough mock up: Not sure if I'm going to locate it a closer or further from the frame, or leave it where it is, thats a very tight space between the box and frame - I may have a problem with rustproofing in there.
  19. I did some searching. Found only only one mention of a dropped/sunk battery, from RTz (ron?), but all I saw was a finished photo from the top, no sizes or in-process shots. So, since my car is shell with a cut out battery area at the moment I took some measurements at lunch. A full sized battery will probably not fit with wheels at full lock. I measured according to a Braille b2015 // Deka EXT20L battery (what I'll be running) which roughly 7x4x6ish. These are real rough numbers: At 7.5 inches in from the frame and 4 inches from the firewall, there is roughly 3 inches of clearance from the wheels. So you probably dont want a box bigger than 5 inches from the firewall. Took this shot while I was at it, appears a bit deceiving but its roughly 3 inches from the edge of the tape measure to the wheel.
  20. I dont think they've touched their site in (5+) years. Might call or email them for details?
  21. I've been looking for a FG 280z hood as well. From my brief searching it looks like ReactionResearch does.
  22. <br><br><br>It might work if your using a small lightweight battery. But thats a tight spot with the wheel turned, not to mention all debris that will be hitting the area. <br>(I just cut out my battery tray and counter sinking the battery down was an idea for a bit...)
  23. On our way to visit grandparents in youngstown my wife pointed out that summit racing was along the way and that we should stop in since we had extra time. We checked out of there three times before leaving, kept remembering something new to buy "while we're here".
  24. I have a brand new set I'd consider letting go for 160+shipping. I believe they are 199+40 shipping from MSA
