  1. Yella, I love that car. You wouldn't happen to know what front spoiler that is and where those lower rear quarter panel flares are from would you? Sweet ride!!!!
  2. Very interested in pics of your new steering set up!!! Subject I have thought about but have not even began to attempt. Love the car
  3. Is it possible to take the lsd unit from a q45(6 bolt output) and use it in a R200V from a 300zx n/a(5 bolt output)? The reason I ask is I really want some 4.08 or 4.09 gears in my differential. I need the 6 bolt outputs for the strength. It will be behind a 6speed. I was just wondering if this was possibel with out having to re-shim the rear end or not? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  4. The 600 mark is very common in the LSX crowd. People are hitting it with a stock shortblock 346. Check out www.vengeancerd.com They have a head cam package that has put down over 500rwhp on a stock shortblock vette.
  5. LS1tech is the best source of information in my opinion. You may want to check the corvette forums since alot of those guys are able to run roots style blowers. There are several guys on LS1tech pushing 800/800 at the wheels with whipples. Go under forced induction and use the key words whipple or magnacharger. Should get several hits. The wait on the L92 intake may take awhile and it may also cost more than it is worth. I wouldn't shy away from cathedral port heads. You could probably get some trickflow heads cheaper than you could get L92 heads and intake. Plus, trickflows out perform L92's unless they are extensively ported. Sorry so long. Just my thoughts. This is the setup I have been dreaming of.
  6. The L92 intake runners are much larger than the cathedral port intake runners. There is no way it can be made to work like that. You may want to ask whipple if they make a bottom intake that you can purchase from them that is made for the L92 heads. If not I would get some ported cathedral port heads and run the thing. With the right setup, that could be a bad ride. The torque that roots style blowers make is unbelievable right off of idle. You get instant boost. I would not get rid of that blower.
  7. If this is a 2.3L Whipple, it is a roots style blower. Therefore you will not need a single plane intake or elbow. Whipple only makes roots style blowers that mount straight to the heads with integrated intake. Also, it will not fit L92 heads. I have only seen Whipple blowers for the cathedral port LSX heads. Just my .02
  8. I had a 98ss and did a cam swap, and compared to the old style sbc it is a breeze. Don't even have to pull the intake or fuel rails off the car. Pull the valve covers off. Take the rockers off and pull out the pushrods. Take the front cover off along with the timing chain. Turn the cam over a couple of times. This will push the lifters up into the lifter trays and the tray will hold the lifters in place. Lube up your new cam and slide it in carefully. Put everything back together. I would go with the beehive springs as long as your cam is not over .600 lift. Which most 224 cams are around .580. They are cheaper and are damn good springs.
  9. Interested in seeing pics of your solid axle conversion!!
  10. Sorry, didn't really pay attention when I read that. Thanks. Are custom shafts really that expensive?
  11. Do the 300zxtt axles have to be shortened or modified? I didn't see this in the posts anywhere, may have missed it.
  12. Thinking of building a rotisere to restore my 74 260 next weekend and was wondering if anyone had any pics or drawings of the one you used or are using? I have a few ideas, but was just looking for others. Thanks
