  1. Can't figure out how to update location much less the about me page

  2. CA sucks and many people are abandoning it. I heard Arnie wants to sell it to Mexico to pay off the deficit. Go here http://www.escortradar.com/ I have an 8500 off of ebay. Has saved my ass plenty. Don't fool with the other crap out there. This will tell you he's there before you can see him. Of course nothing will save you when he sneaks up with radar off.
  3. it is triggered by a sensor in the waterneck. I thimk it is run thru a timer so it runs for about 10 min when car is off
  4. Man, I saw these for sale somewhere (internet) just the other day.

  6. You can still get OEM keys from Nissan for about $12 each. There also was a guy on ebay selling the valet model a little cheaper.
  7. New they were about $250 each. I've seen em on Ebay from $250 set to $500 set fully polished. Individually you can pick em up for $20-25 each...plus shipping
  8. Hmm, this makes me wonder. I have a tube of ...butyl?... that I got from the glass guy. I could use a bondo spreader and spread some on the gasket. I'll try that when it warms up.
  9. Yea I looked, that's what got me started. I found some guy who found substitutes for S30's. Next time I got to pick n Pull I'll search around. I talked to a guy at Abra body shop who said his glass guy would put a thin film of petroleum jelly on the gasket to swell it. I tried it; don't know if it actually swelled or if the thin coat sealed the gap. I had to wipe off the grease couple days later.
  10. Anyone figured out how to stop the wind noise from the back of the door window. Has anyone had any luck in finding a substitute weatherstrip? Apparently some guys have tried it with S30s but I didn't find anything ons130s.
  11. Take the roof liner off and you should be able to access it. You might be able to push out most of it on a hot day after the roof has been setting out for a while.
  12. Single stage will last a few years and that's it. Base coat/clear coat will last years. I painted my 83 back around 93 with PPG base/clear. Other than a few scratches here and there, it still turns heads and has that wet look, no fading. If you paint, I turned the garage into a paint booth by building a wooden frame and enclosing in plastic. Spray the floor down with water and I had a hose runninng to keep it wet. This kept dust or overspray from coming up. I lowered the garage door to about two feet off the goround and stuck a couple window fans blowing the overspray out. Pay attention to the direction of any wind. I did not buff it out like the shops do. There will be bits of crap here or there, but they will eventually come out as you wax through the years. But not buffing is what kept that wet look thru the years. just my 2c.
  13. I watched the gllass guy do it when he replaced the WS. It clips in, but I would have a glass guy remove it. As for the rear, it is installed with the ws trim. I slid out my bottom strip to repair some bubbles. Waiting for it to warm up and I hope I had slide it back in with the help of wd-40.
