  1. Never met DJ Short but there was a oriental fellow with a Texas accent doing time for growing for the City of Oakland in California that I accused of being DJ Short. He said the late Ken Kesey in 60's San Francisco got him started in that direction.

  2. I was not around at the time..find it interesting but quite typical that he erased his work.. I am warming up for a book I want to write about long lost love (a comedy) called "Bella Coola" concerning the commercial underground marijuana seed industrybetween canada and the US and an encounter with the legendary DJ Short. I have done my research.. the hard way (lol) I knew some of the best marijuana growers in America. Lot of them are in federal prison in Sheridan, Oregon. Mat always a pleasure to directly hear from you............my metallic/fiberglass herb of choice http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/album?.dir=8223&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos

  3. A water skipper can walk on water. The irridescent colored dragon fly can go backwards and up and down going about everywhere he wants along the creek bank...... Big wonderful fish coming home swim up the creek every year only to die on the creek banks while the hideous black eel survives making the same journey home. Those were a few of my earliest re-collections of living along a small water way that came to be known to me as Cow Creek. .............................................................................The waters flowed mysteriously from nowhere to some where. My tender imagination without any other explanation developed that there was a faraway source up in the sky with many cows gathered to create this water. A good reason I never drank this water........ In the winter the gray skies would furiously open all the flood gates and an abundance of rain would fall swelling the creek and making it very angry. The adult’s voices became excited and agitated. They talked of danger with much attention paid to the creek and to a force called “flood”. .................................................................Every year when the creek was at it’s height in anger and fury, Charlie Morgan Sr for his own reasons would set out in a small rowboat on the boiling waters. He never gave any appearance that he was afraid of anything much less the furious flood waters. His presence had a calming effect upon all and the creek became reasonable a few days after Charlie made his determined presence known to the out of control creek. The rain retreated and the creek receded in due time from Mr. Morgan’s efforts. For all I knew. and still care to be believe is that cows nourish the creek with water and neighbor Charlie and his row boat through out his lifetime controlled the dangerous waters during the cold rain drenched winter...Never had a devastating flood occurred when Mr. Charlie Morgan lived near the creek.......... One morning, it was decided for me that I would go to this big house in town called church where no one lived. A house my father preferred but never went. One sister had gone there but did her little good My mother gave me coin money that had a fierce humped cow on one side and an old strange man called Indian on the other end. Indian looked very proud and not at all concerned about his strange looks. A lost race of an early people that has vanished from America to be found only in remnants managing gambling casinos............................................. This money coin gave me many thoughts about how the cow and Indian lived. The coin too precious with it’s pictures on each side to be traded for anything else but only for looking at... The coin was for looking at only and good thoughts imagined came easily about cow and Indian..................................I was given very strange instructions and was told to give the coin to the Lord when I got inside the church house in town. My sister and I walked to Church and she told me a confusing story about a very busy man with a lot of confusing names who was inside that house. When we got there she deposited me in the basement in the care of a stranger and went upstairs where they begin singing The basement was called a Sunday School and contained a lot of noisy children not known to me where I again heard about a book called the Bible. We had the same looking book at home but no one read from it. I was a very important little fellow at home but in the Lord’s House I came in very last to the other children according to the woman stranger in charge. She passed out toys to make sounds. I was not allowed to make any sounds on the tin horns that I desperately wanted to try. The nickel stayed in my pocket and a miracle occurred when my sister came and took me home .................................... When my mother asked about church, I told her that I never wanted to go back. She inquired about my nickel and I lied and told that I had faithfully given the coin to the church............................................. I slipped outside our home and gave the coin one last long look before I hurled it as hard as I could toward an area I was forbidden to venture near the road. The coin would be safe there. I never went back to that church or reclaimed my marvelous lost nickel near the road. Years later my father joined a cult religion to control his gambling addiction. I was forced to attend religious services until I left home. ............................................................Sacred cows far away made the creek flow where a water skipper can walk on water with the colorful dragon flies that can maneuver in any direction they choose. Charlie Morgan passed away and Glendale suffered the biggest flood ever. A dam was built to control the flood water . The big fish come back every year as numerous as ever And just maybe Old Indian looked so proud on that coin because in his heart and during his time he was about as close to God as a human could get. His spirit is out by the old road leading to Julia (Glendale). If you look hard at the creek when crossing a bridge duting a flood, Charlie Morgan can be still be seen in his row boat in the dead of winter negotiating peace with the forces of water.

  4. Archives....................Tim does not let on but he has been deaf ever since he saw that movie.. I now understand why Alex has such a warped sense of humor since he was taught by me and Ol "Lone" . The anonymous posts are me and Lone wise cracking. I miss "Lone". He saw evereything in life at a different angle. He went belly-up and sold his rat rod Hybrid Z and just disappeared...anyone know how he is doing these days.

  5. ALf ........get a Yahoo pictures account free.....my picteres were all taken with a digital low grade camera less sophisticated than any cell phone camera.......................................................................................then just copy and paste your your yahoo photo site URL on the Hybrid Z posting. you do not have to post the picture right on the posting page...................that just takes up a lot of space on this website.. There gets to be so many posted pictures on some of these threads.. that I can not even get them all downloaded on my ancient land line 56 K modem. my GTO pictures/single ...or the complete album http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/detail?.dir=8223&.dnm=ab81.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/album?.dir=8223&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos

  6. Just gonna "freshen" it up ????????????????????? .....................................uuuuuummmmmmmmmm.huhuhuhuhuh I see fat fenders and fat tires and an engine transplant plans within 3 months. Looks great but just too much temptation for you before spring time. Deliver it up here to me for safe keeping. If you need to keep busy, you can take my Tomahawk Zee project home to finish and unravel all the damage done by Nathan Fleming..... help is on the way http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=104863

  7. Erverse orteration is what happened when I was abducted and probed by aliens in New Mexico.......................left me with a permanent limp....that urban kid from the inter city passed his examination becuz successful completion entitlement was a reverse rotation 502 BBC reward. George Bush got a full blown VW in 1968 from em. Where you think he was when he was absent all those times in the Air National Guard. I will tell you....he was getting probed for a reverse rotation VW. His mama would not let him complete his dune buggy project.... too fast and dangerous for him . He wound up and sold his VW engine and enrolled in a home study bar tending and auctioneer schoolong program which led him towards a political career in Texas. Notice how he has trouble getting all his words out....that's the effect from the alien probing. I limp and he stammers but I still have my reverese rotation lawn mower engine and that urban kid is a famous Nascar driver. As for GW, now you know the real story where he got the most of his probe. Some folks think , he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth..............Not true...........and I did not get a boot in my posterior either for being too slow in boot camp...Lot of disabilities due to alien probing that the government keeps real quiet for security reasons..

  8. Molest the old lady, burn the house down, shoot the dog and slander my name but don't mess with the Z project. I recieved a settlement for the damage done to the Tomahawk body and I still have the body but I am still raging. Losing a G nose would be difficult to get over......................not like you can pick them off a tree. Being a poor country boy there are a few things I hold dear................my gold pocket watch, sapphire ring and all my Z dreams

  9. AKZ ....How much would this alginite cost for a dash mold and where can you locate an oven big enough to slide this dash into. You are not just going to go out there and use some commercial/industrial oven to cure fiberglass no matter what you offer since the first words back will be "WTF are you smokin"..........I am looking for an oven larger than the standard kitchen oven to cure powder coat, any suggestions!.Priced a commercial used stove lartely. Excuse me, I am just a little testy since alginite and an oven cure maybe apropriate for minature projects but these dashs are bigger than a bread basket..........No doubt Mike has a small fortune invested in carbon fiber and resin . In any home project an important factor is cost and all improvisions should be considered to reduce cost. Mike and Owen have done a remarkable job in building these dash prototypes using cost effective innovations. I would say polyester resin and regular fiber would total at least $100.00 for a dash project.

  10. I agree on the female mold.....................................but that male mold of yours gave me an idea how to resuresct the tub of my Tomahawk Z that was vadalized by a moron who tried to splash a mold in my absence on the Tomahawk. I can go inside the tub with resin impregnated DAP to smooth inside surface and splash a mold inside to make a "buck" for a second and final mold of the tub ..thanx.. I maybe back in the Cobra z project. before damage. took him to court and won a settlement for the damage......his attorney really put it to him over fees.........Spay on food grade "PAM" for sticky pans is a good cheap mold release and "green wax" available at about any fiberglass fabrication business is the best mold release after rubbed on. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/album?.dir=/392a

  11. What we need here is a special dedicated sticky thread to report and keep track of these swindlers. Actual experience in a federal pen has taught me that I would rather be rubbing elbows with drug addicts and career criminals than liar rat cheat swindlers who are on par with baby rapists and child pornos...I was around them all ..............................................................my rant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #11385462447

  12. You can easily make the strut bar to tie the strut towers with thick wall tubing that will easily go over the V8 without interference. For the Tomahawk. I welded 2 small pieces of angle iron.. one set to hold a bar going across and the other set to hold bar to cowl. I welded a corresponding set of small angle iron to firewall cowl. I cut a 4 sections of tubing to length for towers and cowl/firewall and heated the ends and squeezed them together flat and then drilled 3/8 inch holes in the flattened holes .................then laid the bars with the drilled holes on the welded angle iron and marked the holes to be deilled in angle iron.................did all this without a tape measure and before V8 was installed. When my Tomahawk V8 engine was stripped and vanadlized my strut rods went in all dierections 'south" to get at the engine, Like I said I will be making a set of monoball heims rods for the GTO towers.(as if it is really needed) I am watching eBay for the right set of used heims and steel tube rods lot where I can make a poop pot of them for cheap. The monball heims and lock nuts will allow high tech trick adjustment (LOL). The overhead cam L6 does require special attention of a curved or high rod location to clear valve cover. You can tie up that car easily with the existing roll bar and if that T-top was carefully installed...well that cars looks grows on ya. .........looks like it has custom seats.

  13. Maybe to the French Canadians "merge" is a form of political rebellion in an english controlled atmosphere (and an obvious revenue producer to collect on rear end collisions from american visitors)..... go figure the damages in Canadian dollars... We were given feet and legs and in the grand scheme of things were never genetically engineered to propel ourselves around in metallic objects....that was not in the plans according to Genesis and other sources including leading scientific studies.......I have seen a lot of bad drivers in all flavors, colors coming and going in all forms of metallic manufacture. No doubt there are a number out there (survivors and a few Canadians included) who have re-collections of really one bad driver in their memory banks that closely resembled me not that I am admitting to any specific events, days, places or times under the 5th Amendment not to be confused with the 10 Commadments of "thou shalt not lie" Just be thnakful that you have one individual looking out for your best interests.... "Jon slow this car down or I am getting out and walking" ..Walking is more natural and better suited for limited gene pool.

  14. No handy pictures. I used square tubing and welded the rear struts together... e-bay Datsun usually has some monoball strut tower bars @ auction. I really do not see a need to go all out in re-inforcing this car even for a mild V8. If this car has warped already .........you can see the results in a small area on the sail (fastback) panel next to the rear hatch........IF you have enuff patience, I will eventually be doing a whole series of modification re-inforcements to my GTO project..(which really does not need it..http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/album?.dir=8223&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos.... .This subject has been covered many times in the past with mucho pictures and still fresh material in roll cage threads....research.........I had about 5000 posts as Tomahawk Z wiped out in my 2 years absence which now appears as "anonymous" postings so I cannot even effectively research my own threads where members contributed information to my projects about reinforcement. ..me and #8 Tomahawk http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/album?.dir=/392a I may be an old fart but I have been on this site for a long time and was designated a Hybrid Z Wizard along with Tim240 Z and a couple others. Does anyone know who really started this website and under what circunstances...some of the 'ol timers' such as MatGNZ refer to him as the "godfather" and he has the Z project to prove it and yes i am dodging the question since i am dealing with a Hybrid Z traumatic identity crisis (LOL).

  15. JON ...........winning at that age, you must have natural ability mechanical genes. This ability strikes in my family but passed way over me. I have a nephew that at 5 years of age could dismantle about anything by 10 years old was repairing about anything........I had to learn the hardway and could never survive doing it for a living.....I always maintain a large inventory of parts for my mechanical expertise... BUt I refuse to pay a non mechanical parts changer for what I can do myself..

  16. Positive the roof is soldered and not welded I cut off two tops for convertibles. If the roofs were welded it would be production spot welds and there is no spot welds..............................Tie the front strut towers together.........and then to the firewall cowl. Tie the rear strut towers together and then to a full roll bar. Weld some square tubing the entire floorboard length alongside the seats next to the side rails and tie the roll bar to the square tubing.. tie the floor board tubing to the cowl/ firewall. This as how My Tomahawk Z is reinforced and the way I did a Vello Rossa.............Eric Nyerlin ofers a Z converible with a 'formal " underneath the car reinforcement package which requires excellant welding skills without a rotessire http://www.zparts.com/home.html

  17. Update............http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/album?.dir=8223&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos........... Have Harbour Freight's largest sand blaster and the powder coating gun... and free oven ...............Found a source for the coilover sleeves http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=106293 Making camber plates, http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=106293 located a CNC operator to cut the plates out and waiting for the monoball housings Just about have all the parts to assault the suspension.. Recieved a small settlement in court for the damage done to the Tomahawk Zee/Cobra http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/larryjohnson97438/detail?.dir=/392a&.dnm=2e76.jpg&.src=ph (and hope the very (same)******* is reading this who could have saved himself a wheel borrow load in attorney fees if he had the balls to talk to me...now see if you can beat your attorney out of the remainder. LOL my settlement comes directly from the attorney not you.). I plan to make adjustable front lower control arms and TC rods. GTO headlight trim rings and bead roller thread http://forums.hybridz.org/showthrea...4046#post584046 .. ...adjustable clutch rod thread http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=106902

  18. Roll bar equipped ? Lot of topless Z's out there with V8. The Z roof is soldered on. Look at the roof line and glass and you will see how small overall this soldered metal area is. Some reinforcing and tie in to the roll bar should handle tourqe... unless you have a stroker SBC that you continously hammer and the roof solder will not hold up with that either. The chassis was engineered for a convertible too as the engine bay was for a V8 also, as the wheel wells were for some big tires. The z was copied, not much was left out. If the Z had came earlier, there would be no Shelby (AC) Cobra but a Shelby Z with Ford power becuz the AC sports car was a poor poor choice had the Z been avaiable in the early 60's.
