  1. As title states, looking for a few exterior bits for my 240. Prefer the urethane Xenon airdam but open to anything to replace the BRE Spook I have now. Also looking for fiberglass or carbon front and rear 240Z bumpers. Have the original bumpers along with a complete extra set of corners/rubber for both bumpers to offer as possible trade. Let me know what you've got! Thanks.
  2. Finally have time to work on the car again. I picked up a new puller and the 1/4-20 bolts. Unfortunately, most likely due to rust, one of the bolts broke off in the pulley - what is the best way to remove it? Alternatively, is there any way to check if the bright link is on the keyway of the crank pulley without pulling the front cover off...?
  3. Thanks NewZed, this is exactly what I meant... I wasn't asking about HG failure.
  4. So y'all telling me the internet lied? http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/headgasket/index.html
  5. Good to know. I'll make sure the puller has that thread. As well, can anyone answer the second part of my post? I picked up a Beck Arnley headgasket and it is different from the damaged Felpro that's coming out. Beck Arnley: Felpro: I have a N42 block and head out of a 76 280Z. Will the Beck fit? I popped over on the AtlanticZ tech pages and the consensus there is that the Beck with the one contoured longitudinal side is for 81-83 cars.
  6. Thanks Pete. Should I leave the pulley bolt half threaded in when using the puller or remove it entirely?
  7. Need some advice here. In the midst of replacing my HG and messed up the timing as I was cleaning the pistons of carbon. Was able to remove the pulley bolt thanks to the screwdriver in the ring gear trick but am now having issues getting the crank pulley off. I left the pulley bolt half threaded in and used a 3-jaw gear puller only to realize that the puller was starting to gouge and self-thread itself into the bolt! On top of that, the pulley didn't even budge. What should I do here? The pulley shouldn't be that fused on should it? On top of that, I have a N42 block and head and ordered a Beck Arnley headgasket. The one that came from RockAuto is contoured to the combustion chambers on the driver side - is this the wrong one? The Felpro I pulled off isn't contoured and is a uniform rectangular piece throughtout. Help is appreciated!
  8. Looking for the entire fan and heater assembly for the 240Z. Already have the heater matrix but specifically need the fan motor, fan motor housing, all the ducting to the vents, and centre console control assembly. Also need all the interior panels from behind the doors to the hatch. Any race car folks strip out their cars and have these laying around? PM me, I'll get back to you within the day. I'm in Vancouver and have a business address in WA as well.
  9. A 15x9 -10 with a 225 tire will be perfect on a stock body if you are retaining a functional ride height.
  10. Thanks but I'll have to pass. Prefer adjustable arms or plates instead.
  11. Last up before I pick them up new.
  12. Sent an e-mail to all 3 addresses a week ago but still no reply...
  13. Right on! Exactly what I'm looking for - thanks luseboy. Kali - I'm going with the 205 already. I already have 'proper' wheels for the track but for everyday cruising, good fitment and stance are a must.
  14. ^ Thanks luseboy. I don't plan on running the Silvermine rear disc setup so caliper clearance is a non-issue for me. I saw pictures of the +0 setup on the other thread and the rears seem like they can take the -10 in stride although I don't know what the poster's camber settings were like. I do believe he was running a 195 tire which may be why it seems less aggressive than what it is. Would be nice to have someone who's currently running the negative offset Shakotans pipe up with a definitive answer however.
  15. I don't want to run spacers if I can buy the right sized wheel in the first place. I know the +0 fits modestly well on the S30 but will the -10 fit both the front and rears without having to molest the fenders or having to run ridiculous camber?
  16. Thanks Kali! I don't want to run flares however; I can't justify cutting into a mint body. This is true! Only reason why I ask is because the local shop can get the +0 but it's a near 2 month wait for the -10 and -15. It doesn't help that the wheel is special order so I can't even do a test fit.
  17. I'm trying to decide whether to go for the 15x9 +0 or -10 Shakotans on my S30. I know a bunch of you guys are running them in this width. Did you have to pull or roll the front fenders or rear quarter panels to get the -10s or even -15 to fit? Judging by the Shakotan thread, it seems +0 is perfect for the front but I'm not sure if it's enough to fill out the rears. I'll be running 205/50/15 tires on it. Thanks in advance!
