  1. I'm using Megasquirt MS1 Extra with MS relay board
  2. I bought a full bell housing with flywheel ant clutch from http://www.dellowconversions.com.au/
  3. Just after first startup: http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/arvid_photo/DFE7F282-C6E0-4637-8E5A-46BFF793881D-5211-000007FCF21BB894_zps1d2bd2a5.mp4
  4. I will make up a plenum with cold air intake in front, but not just yet. Have to get many other things in place first.
  5. It's alive!! After a couple of weeks working on wiring the whole car, we had the first startup a couple of days ago. Just some tidying up in the wiring mess now, and fix some fuel leaks... Then I will install fenders and front and start testing/mapping. The sound of the engine with all trottles fully open is AMAZING!
  6. Link to a nice norwegian 510: http://www.autobloggen.net/?p=4498
  7. Yes, the 4-door and wagons were common cars here in the days, but theres not many left.... They were named 1300, 1600 and 1800. But the 2-door was not sold in Norway, maybe further south in Europe. Think i have to find me a 2-door from US, and ship over to Norway. My Z is also a US car, the previous owner is Rayapp here at the forum:)
  8. Love the look of your 510. Will try to find me an 510 as next project....
  9. Will install fuelpumps and catchtank in the spare tire room. Recieved a new alu driveshaft from www.driveshaftshop.com
  10. Have started wiring up a new 18 circuit harness from Painless. The new fusebox will be located behind the glovecompartment door, together with ecu and relays. Installed the Speedhut gauges in the dash too.
  11. Very nicely performed conversion. Has anything happened since last time?
  12. Have been alot at work recently, so there havent been much progress... I am just finishing the R230 install, had to modify the MM kit to make it fit properly. Have assembled the driveshaft and the cv-joints, and they fitted very well. I installed 280z stub-axels from MM to match up the rest... They took a while to get.....
  13. Thanks for all replies. The itb's are actually some very cheap OBX- ones.... I just had to buy them to see how they work since they were that cheap, only 850$. They need some small adjustments to fit properly, but it does not look bad at all so far. Will keep you informed.
  14. A picture of the itb's. Looking forward to hear the sound of these:)
  15. In the progress of mounting diff(r230) using modern motorsports kit. Have also bought a car lift, that was a bit improvement for the working conditions:)
  16. It takes some time..... - but will be good in the end:)
  17. I found this picture in Marc280's thread.... Is this a W58 transmission? I have the R154 from a Supra mk3 turbo, but I don't got this shifter-extension on mine. I will need an extension to get the shifter 15-16cm further back...
  18. And then, with some good help from my daughter, the L24 went out... ...and the UZ were joined with the transmission and lifted into the car. So then I have to spend some time to measure and align everything, before I start fabricate engine and transmission mounts....
  19. I had the UZ apart to make sure it's in good condition. Had to back the car out of the garage to turn it after the snow came, and was barely able to get it back in:) -Very slippery!
  20. Have noticed there's already a few others in here doing the Lexus conversion into their Z-car. I have planned to do this for a couple of years now, and have finally started the conversion. Here is my car: It has been restored since 2005, and has been used on the street for a little more than a year with the original L24 inside. So, when the winter knocked on the door, the Z was put in the garage and the project started.
